Cynthia Fetzer, DVM – Founder
Dr. Cynthia Fetzer has officially retired! Cynthia was the sole owner of Camden Pet Hospital from 1994 to April 2021 and built the practice into what it is today. Dr. Fetzer had been transitioning out of practicing for the last several years and took a long time to find the right new owner for the practice. She did not want to have the hospital sold to a corporation.

Dr. Anna Ruelle, DVM
As a long-time friend and colleague of Dr. Fetzer, Dr. Anna is excited for the opportunity to partner with and take on the role as practice owner allowing Cynthia the ability to retire and Camden Pet Hospital the chance to continue to grow and thrive. Dr. Anna has lived in the area for 15+ years, most of which she owned and operated a veterinary practice in the far southwest metro. She is grateful for the chance to work close to home in a wonderful community and begin the next chapter with Camden Pet Hospital.
Dr. Anna graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Masters of Public Health. She joined the team at Camden in 2020 and she has a commitment to patient care, client communication, and education. She loves to teach and feels that good client education serves as a foundation for an excellent standard of practice here at Camden. Her focus on education and compassionate care fits with Camden’s model of slightly longer than average appointments so clients have time to ask questions and understand the ‘what’ and ‘why’ regarding their pet’s care. Veterinary care can be expensive, and Dr. Anna wants to make sure clients understand where every cent is prioritized for the best health and wellbeing of the animal. She and the rest of the team work hard to go about care in a step-wise approach to ensure we get the best solutions for each individual pet and their family situation.
Dr. Anna is looking forward to working with all the long-term and new pet owners that come to Camden Pet Hospital. She has a particular interest in preventative medicine and long-term health of her patients, thus she particularly enjoys dentistry, nutrition and behavioral veterinary medicine. Dr. Anna also strongly believes in the importance of veterinarians giving back to the community and she is looking forward to getting more involved with the Camden community by hosting free client education seminars and children’s animal welfare and dog bite prevention workshops.
Dr. Anna is active as a leader in organized veterinary medicine and veterinary education. She is a past President of the MN College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni and Friends Society, a past director on the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) board, as well as a past executive board member on the Veterinary Hospital Association (VHA) board. She also works with the veterinary school to interview prospective students each year, and she has continued to help develop the curriculum to teach students clinical skills. She continues to be actively involved in her state and national veterinary associations via committees, task forces and events. During her time as a student, she was the President of the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association (SCAVMA). She also organized and participated in many international and domestic veterinary service trips in places like rural Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Native American reservations in the Midwest and South West. During these trips Dr. Anna has helped provide veterinary care such as spaying, neutering, giving vaccinations and mending wounds for pets and livestock that would not receive care otherwise. Dr. Anna is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association, American Academy of Veterinary Nutrition and the American Veterinary Dental Society.
Brendan Melcher, DVM
Dr. Melcher graduated from the University College Dublin. He has worked in the veterinary field in some fashion for over a decade. His kind and friendly demeanor keeps patients at ease and helps clients to feel comfortable asking questions regarding their pets best care and needs. Dr. Melcher enjoys preventive care and complex medical cases, he always digs deep and researches for more information to ensure we are doing or offering all we can for your pet. He is an important part of the team here at Camden, and as our Chief Medical Officer in training, he always puts patient care first. When he is not working, Dr. Melcher enjoys comic books and video games.
Judy Lapham, DVM
Judy has been on staff at Camden Pet Hospital since January 2007. She graduated from The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 and has worked as a small animal veterinarian since then. She enjoys the interaction between herself, clients, and their pets, listening and learning about each pet she sees in order to help people and their pets enjoy long, healthy, and happy relationships. Dr. Lapham has two daughters who, with the help of her husband, keep her life fully occupied outside of veterinary medicine. Any spare time is spent reading, seeing movies, visiting with friends, and traveling. Besides her human family, she shares her home with two cats, three dogs (a collie, a cockapoo and a Maltese mix), two guinea pigs, and lots of fur.
Sina Lindelof, DVM
After growing up with a veritable zoo of pets in the middle of nowhere (northern Wisconsin), Dr. Sina came to Saint Paul to attend Hamline University for a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She immediately fell in love with the city and a bit later fell in love with Thai food, which is hard to come by back home, and therefore decided to stay in the area. Pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian, she attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2018. She lives in Saint Paul with two cats (Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon), a dog (Edie), and a bearded dragon (Hiccup). Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, preventive care, and exotic medicine, and she absolutely loves the variety and lifelong learning that comes with veterinary medicine. She’s passionate about client education so if you have a question for her, just ask! She’s very much enjoying building relationships with all the wonderful patients and their people who come to Camden.
Dr. Anna Gresser
Dr. Gresser joined the team at Camden Pet hospital in 2021 and has been a welcome addition with her strong technical skills and excellent communication. Dr Gresser is a Minnesota native; she grew up in Rochester then attended Iowa State for her undergraduate Batchelor of Science, and returning home for her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota where she focused on small animal medicine and veterinary business management. Dr. Gresser is thoughtful and accommodating, and she is willing to go the extra mile to help clients and patients get what they need. “I like to meet the client where they are in terms of finances, but also in terms of their comfort level with what they would like to do with their pet. It’s important to me to offer the gold standard, but to have other options to offer/discuss with the owner too.”
She particularly enjoys internal medicine, reproduction, and dentistry. At home Dr. Gresser enjoys spending time relaxing with family and friends as well as playing her violin from time to time.
Anastasia Johns, DVM
Dr. Johns has moved to Duluth! We wish her and her family well in their new home up north!
